Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. With any luck it will be finished by next year's Kelleys Island weekend!

Checked on the Westy today. Every little ding and crease has been filled in, sanded down, and primered. The color should be going on this week.

After driving 2,350 miles in two and a half days home from OCTOFEST, our first stop was at the paint shop to check on the progress. ITS DONE! Now comes the hard work, trying to put it all back together without any scratches! I know that first one is gonna make me feel sick.

That's awesome! Very nice. Few restorations go that far, so you are to be commended for your patience and attention to detail. It looks great!
The dirty work is over, so take your time and it will turn out grand. Take plenty of photos and please post them up here so we can enjoy it as you move forward.
And by the way, if you have some OCTO pics, post them up so we can all live a little vicariously through you!

Sean, do I have some OCTO pics? My wife keeps asking me why do I keep taking so many pictures?

I'll post some up.

Great job. Love that color on a split bus.

Got the bus safely home today to my garage. First order of business is to install the new wiring harness. Then I'm gonna have to tackle the the window seals.

Slowly making progress. I have most of the sound deadening in and about half of the wiring. Finished the driver side door rubber and only made a couple of scratches.

What did you use for sound deadening? I have been looking into doing more of my Bus. So far I have only done front doors. Sound deadening products can be pricey.
